Flying Stars (Fei Xing)

Flying Stars are nine numbered symbolic influences in Xuan Kong feng shui, arranged on the Nine-Palace framework under period, sitting/facing and annual rules. These stars are chart numbers, not measured celestial objects or radiation.

A forward-flight demonstration starting 5 in the center places 6 northwest, 7 west, 8 northeast, 9 south, 1 north, 2 southwest, 3 east and 4 southeast. Starting with another number changes the overlay, while the compass sectors stay in place. A real natal chart also needs its mountain and facing layers.

The Guild's terminology source describes the modern chart construction, while Qing Nang Jing supports the earlier numbered framework. They do not validate predictions of disease, wealth or disaster. Keep annual numbers separate from natal chart numbers.
